Fabric Love: Gleeful Blog Hop!
Today we get to share one of our favorite things with you: New Fabric!!! We were thrilled when Caroline, of Sew Caroline fame, asked us to join in the blog hop promotion of her new fabric line: Gleeful!!!
Gleeful evokes exactly what you would expect from the name: happiness! The crisp primary colors and fun prints are absolutely perfect for children's clothing. Gleeful is soft and the colors are saturated, which is what we have come to expect from Art Gallery Fabrics.
We decided that this fabric was absolutely perfect for our Lilly Belle Reversible Pinafore! The bright prints mixed with this summer staple are perfect for a day of fun.
Gleeful is available later this month online and at your local quilt shop! Thank you so much Caroline for allowing us to play with your adorable Gleeful fabrics!
xoxo,

Welcome back, The Whitney Trousers
Guess who is back? After the Whitney Trousers' initial release we noticed a large crowd of followers hoping for their return. Well, we heard you guys! The Whitney Trousers are back and now more amazing than ever.
Most importantly, we took a second look at each piece and found an even more tailored fit for all sizes. We are quite sure we don't have to reassure you how great that is! We also, implemented new construction techniques to ensure falttering pleats every time. We had the idea to also turn the design into an adorable pleated skirt as well. So, when your purchase the Violette Field Threads Whitney pattern, you will receive the patterns for both a Whitney skirt and trousers. And just wait....
Drum roll please...we made a tutorial video! We know that creating pleats in any design is no small feat. So our tutorial will show you how to build the Whitney trousers in an easy 1,2,3, step by step video. For those of you who were unsure if you could create it on your own, fear not. We are literally there with you this time! Just click here to watch Ericka and I show you how to build your perfect pair of Whitney Trousers. We also included fun, much needed tips such as how to mirror your fabric, iron your perfect pleat, and how to tailor your creation like the pros! We saw the love for this creation so we wanted to assure that each of you love your pair just as much as we have loved ours! So once again watch the video here or check us out on Facebook for more details!
The Whitney Trousers and Skirt are now available on our website in sizes 0-16.
Happy Sewing!!

Blog Lovin: Sweeter than Cupcakes
Another stop, another amazing Piper! We cannot begin to explain how exciting it is to see how all of these amazing ladies have recreated our Piper pattern. Today's Piper post is by the talented Courtney Davis of Sweeter than Cupcakes. Courtney conquers crafting and motherhood with ease and her blog testifies to that! Sweeter than Cupcakes features everything from weekend crafts to new recipes to pattern reviews. She is truly a woman of all trades!
We asked Courtney to join our Piper team and we are very happy we did so. Her post mentions her nerves due to not having much success sewing for herself. Well Courtney, you fooled us! She used a a very lightweight chambray swiss dot from Michael Levine. This shade of pink is so eye catching, we love it! Probably our favorite part of Courtney's post is her description of the Piper's structure as being "all sweet and simple up front and, all party and frill in the back." We couldn't agree more! To see Courtney's complete look and learn more about her Piper experience click here.
Sweeter Than Cupcakes is a must see blog! Courtney's posts are always so original and are tailored to match the style and lifestyle of moms everywhere. If you don't already, click here and begin following her today. You can also find Courtney's inspirations on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Thank you for your creation Courtney! We love your Piper and look forward to more fun together very soon!
