Loved the way the collar (which is cut on the bias) was applied. No puckering or gathering! A great back to school dress with nice details and not a lot of fussy time consuming details,
Pattern was well written and easy to follow. The only part that was tricky was lining up the collar. Your measurements and seam allowances have to be extremely accurate in order for it to line up perfectly with the front bodice edges. I would have actually preferred having a separate collar and stand, but I made it work.
The bodice button only option is very difficult to get on and off. Since it is designed for woven fabric, it’s not comfy for my daughter to raise her arms either to be honest. I love the look, but she doesn’t love the dress.
As you can see, I modified this dress so that I could make it into a Cruella Deville dress. I did not use the collar since I did not want to try to make a 1/2 and 1/2 colored collar but the rest of the dress seemed to fit my needs. Instead of the buttons, I put in a zipper. The instructions for the facing was very helpful. Please create or identify a pattern using a belt and belt ties. I would v St y much like to understand how to do this the right way. I always appreciate the detail given to your patterns. There is always something new that I pick up or a reminder of the correct way to do thingers in your patterns. Wish that you carried several boy patterns

Hattie
Relatively straightforward. I wish you’d add markings to ease in the making of your patterns. For example, there is a notch on the sleeve but not a corresponding one on the bodice. I also found that the bodice lining could have been changed to have a facing only in the main fabric and a lighter weight fabric for the balance of the lining that could be used or not depending on specific choice. When you’re using expensive fabric it’s costly to use it for lining. In this particular pattern you need to use the same material on the facing area because of the turn back collar. As well the fabric could be a little heavier which doesn’t serve well to be a lining.
Great pattern
I made a sleeveless Hattie with buttons all the way down the front. Instructions were easy to follow and the dress turned out great. Thank you!
Best pattern
So easy to understand for beginners. Thank you for making my sewing dreams come true and approach sewing with ease instead of intimidation.
❤️ the Hattie dress pattern
I love this pattern. I have not made a dress yet, but did come up with a top from this pattern. It is great and so cute!
Great pattern
Hattie is a great pattern! I had no issues at all sewing it up! The instructions were very clear and concise. No hiccups like I often have with other pattern companies. I’ve made 4 of your patterns so far and plan to do many more. Thanks!
Beautiful dress!
My dress turned out exactly how I envisioned! The pattern was easy to follow.
Cute dress
I loved the finished product. The instructions were a little unclear at one point and I had to go back and figure out what I missed but in the end I was very happy.
Loved the Hattie Pattern
My first Violette Fields pattern. I loved how beautiful the finished dress turned out. Perfect for my 3 year old granddaughter.
Love the Hattie
Great! great instructions. I’ve actually made one dress and then used the top portion as a pattern for my son’s coverall’s for his Halloween Costume. LOVE VFT and how versatile all of your patterns are!
Simple and beautiful
Pattern super easy to use and loved there were not too many pieces, it sewed together quickly with a great fit for a beautiful result.
This Hattie went together beautifully!
I loved this pattern! I learned to sew a looong time ago and this pattern reminded me how patterns used to be put together with the ease of digital. I definitely will be making more!
Hattie Dress
The plaid dress I made was adorable. But, the child had to struggle to get it on. I may add a placket to the front.
Love the dress
Rasy to follow instructions. Although I did some mistakes, I'm sure I'll be better at the second attempt as I'm planning on sewing many more.
Cute!
Love this pattern! My only complaint is the same one I have with the others- so many exposed seams! I wish the instructions included options for enclosed seams and other more technical finishes.
Classic beauty
Easy to follow instructions and photo graphs. I have stopped using any other pattern company! Nothing compares
