This pattern was easy enough to follow and cut pieces for. I felt it was a little shorter than my preference, so I added 2 inches to the bottom when I cut my fabric. Everything turned out great and I was glad the straps were angled so it made for clean lines in the back. The only thing I had issue with was adding interfacing under the front lining to support the buttonholes. When I did this, the lining wanted to stand out away from the chest area. I ended up top stitching the lining to the front of the jumper which ended up creating a line above the front center pocket. I was fine with the change and it made me feel better to know the lining was secure.
I will be using this pattern again!
Receiving, printing and sewing this pattern was hassle free and fun!
This is the first time I’ve sewn a piece of clothing. I’ve made quilts, bags etc. prior to this. I found the directions easy to follow, a couple times I had to work to figure it out, but I’m sure that is based on my inexperience. In the end I am very happy with the jumper and my first piece of clothing! I do think the little backing piece behind the button hole needs to be made bigger though. Or perhaps I didn’t make it correctly. That seemed to be a part I struggled a bit with. But I’ll definitely buy more patterns when I’m done making the ones I have.
