Hello Everyone!!!

Maya here, bringing you the Amelia Maxi Modification!! Amelia was released a few weeks ago along with the rest of the Back to School Collection. Featuring a Hi-Lo hem, several sleeve and hem options, Amelia is just perfect for all ages!

Today I am going to show you how to add yet another option, Floor Length Maxi. My girls and I absolutely LOVE the comfy factor of knit maxi dresses! This modification is so simple, but certainly has a wow factor when sewn up..... This modification is for Girls, Tweens, and Misses, so there are only charts for those sizes. I did not create this mod for babies, as they may have trouble teetering about in a maxi length. :)  However, you can follow the measuring instructions and easily modify baby as well.

Let's talk customizing! In order for your Amelia Maxi to have a perfect floor length fit, you will have to measure the model the dress is intended for. There are charts listed below with Skirt Measurements as well as Finished Length, however, these are just based on average height. If you want an exact floor length you will need to follow the instructions below on how to measure.

I recommend creating the bodice first, have the model put in on, then measure from 1/2" above the bottom raw edge of the Bodice, down to the floor. Write that measurement down. If you do not intend to hem the skirt then this will be your length you use when cutting your skirt pieces. If you DO intend to hem, add another 1/2" so that you can turn the raw edge up 1/4" then another 1/4"....

Here are the Charts!!

Here are my three girls wearing their Amelia Maxis in a very silky Double Brushed Poly, which is a perfect fabric for this modification! It is light and has beautiful drape!!!

Soooo, I hope you all LOVE this modification as much as we do! I am so excited to see what everyone creates!!!
