My favorite winter activity is sliding down a hill on a child’s plastic saucer! My 60-year-old self loves the giggles that pop out spontaneously while sliding. Reminds me of winters in the 1960s when my family would drive to Lake Tahoe to play in the snow, some trips up to a whole week of snow play!!

Winter is all about, cuddling up as a family, wiggly bums and all. with the heating on (when my boiler is being compliant) hotchoc, being nagged to play pie face instead of using the cream to make our hotchoc immense, oh well we have marshmallows 😁🙄. getting the pooch Pepper and our cat Amara to sit tolarating one another for the sakes of lap loves. Lol.
Kids coming home straight in their fleecy onsies and fluffy slippers, Listening to all the dramas and adventures the kids are experienced at school. plenty of book readin, music blasting , hot roast dinners or pot roasts. (Beer or spirits in hand aka adult sain juice ) to endure the minor distractment of the children wrestling for each others belongings whilst making noises reminiscent of those I hear in the zoo.
Winter is about getting home early to warm blankets, happy children and pets (saying that it’s only the dog that looks pleased to see me of the two). Well whatever I love them dearly nonetheless.
Wrapping our arms around our loved ones, not just for affection but to aquire some of their body heat.
We have Christmas and snow (occasionally to look forward too, mostly rain but im optimistic).😁

I love the winter from behind my window, I slipped and fell very hard on the frozen sidewalk last year, so I still going to the physiotherapist.
I love the sun on the snow, the twinkling stars during a clear frosty night, the candles in the house, the Christmas tree and all the lights inside and outside.
Such a cozy festive time.
But everything at a safe distance from the sidewalk

My favorite winter activity is going to see the light shows at night. They have so many in our area and whether its driving by or getting out the car and walking around. Sometimes we just drive around the neighborhood and see the lights they’ve put up. Me and my girls love to see all the pretty light displays. Then once we are done, we get to go home and warm up with some hot chocolate and smores. YUM!!

My all time favorite winter activity was always baking and decorating roll-out cookies with my Grandma, whom I was very close to (and was the sewist of the family- I didn’t learn from her like I should have, but she’s the reason I decided to try it out years after she passed as a way to feel close to her!). Now I decorate the cookies with my own kiddos and I love her even more— either I was a “better” kid than my own, or she had the patience of a goddess 😂😂😂
