I have been purchasing patterns from Violette Fields Threads for over 8 years now. Every pattern is awesome.
My granddaughter loved this Birdie Pattern, but now she has grown into the Tween sizes. Sad for Gma to realize that she is growing up, wonderful for granddaughter because she loves the clothes I sew with these patterns.
I made 2 dresses for my granddaughters and they love them. Making sure the frill was tucked in to the seam was the only tricky part. I read the instructions carefully!
I can't say how much I love this company. I have sewn for over 45 years and have never been able to say I absolutely love and would recommend this company to anyone who sews. From beginner to advanced they have something for everyone and along with the company comes a very active and helpful Facebook support group. I am constantly blown away by the professionalism and helpfulness of their staff. I have, on occasion, had to contact them on actual printed patterns that I bought years ago with questions about things that I didn't understand and they have provided copies of the current on-line patterns to help. But the last experience was just so amazing. I had purchased a pattern at a retail outlet so many years ago I hate to admit. I wanted to make the shirt for my granddaughter and to my surprise when I pulled the pattern it was drafted wrong. I contacted the company by email and received the sweetest, most apologetic letter explaining what happened and how long ago (2011) the error was made and they provided a link to a replacement pattern. I have had dealings with other, much larger companies, that have told me to go buy a replacement pattern, because they fixed the issue. I am a very happy grandma and honestly, I can't imagine dealing with another company when it comes to service, care and concern, they are the best!
I had a pleasant experience with this pattern. I used chambray fabric, absolutely beautiful. Simple, neat and so precise. I love working with VFT patterns.
I appreciate that the elastic casing covers the bodice/skirt seam...some of your patterns don’t finish as neat on the inside.
