The Small size Marigold is great for your early Elementary school students and preschoolers. The Regular size Marigold is designed with your older student and even yourself in mind! Marigold in Regular size would make a great diaper bag too! Both sizes fit a standard sized folder and have adjustable straps for a comfortable fit. Marigold has a full zipper gusset closure to keep all the school supplies inside!

Marigold features several pockets that make the backpack functional and stylish! The backpack includes an interior back pocket, two side pockets with elastic tops and a front pocket with zipper closure. You can dress Marigold up with ruffles along the front pocket for a fun added detail.

Marigold also includes optional animal ears for your sweet animal loving student: Cat, Mouse, Bunny and Bear ears are included!

Simple and easy

I found making the backpack real easy, especially given that this was my 1st time making a backpack.

Worth it (I think)

It's definitely a more time consuming and challenging product. But I was able to follow all the directions and did it! Now I have a super cute, totally unique backpack. The only suggestion I would make is that some more of the steps were a bit confusing and because of the color/pattern of the pictures, it was hard to figure out what to do in those steps. That's usually never a problem for me with other VFT patterns, but maybe this one was so out of my comfort zone I was confused more easily and some of the pictures didn't show clearly how it should look.

Wonderful pattern!

I bought this and made it right away as I needed a sewing backpack to carry my supplies in :) It was faster then I expected and turned out adorable! (I used HP book covers fabric!)
