The Emily dress is as dreamy as a dress can be! You will fall in love with the classic design elements of this maxi dress. The Emily Dress features a tailored bodice with a high neck and sweet neckline ruffle. Emily has optional cap sleeves but is just as lovely sleeveless.
The skirt has a few different options. Emily can have a one length maxi, a double maxi that is perfect for chiffons and light weight cottons and finally a ruffle bottom maxi. The back is finished with a row of buttons and a bow!

I made two of the Emily dresses for my daughters for Easter and they are gorgeous! The pattern was so easy to follow. The burrito method threw me for a minute, but I was able to fine a video online by Violette Field Threads that made it very simple. This was my second pattern and I will definitely be getting more!!

My 3 year old loves “dresses to the floor” and this made the cut for her birthday dress it is such a beautiful pattern and I hope to make more soon.
But
It would be so helpful to letter the pattern pieces as to what goes together. There use to be at least letters on the layout with the pieces but say like, all the sleeves would have an "A" on it. The older patterns had the letters on the layout but not on the pieces. The layout can be confusing because they don't always correspond with the size of the piece I am holding in my hand.

good. more outfits for 6 to 12y olds
Turned out ok.
Everything was good until the buttons on the bodice. I made this dress for two of my daughters both had to have 5t tops, but eventhou the tops should have been large enough the bottom three buttons on the bodice keep unbuttoning. I reinforced the button hole panel with interfacing, but they just won't stay buttoned. Love the skirt on this dress and will buy more patterns. Thanks
