The Selena (previously our retired Stella pattern) is a charming one shoulder dress, featuring a fitted bodice with an optional ruffled neckline. It has a side zipper closure and optional sash for a very tailored look. To balance the fitted top, a darling gather skirt is included, hitting right at the top of the knee. The option to include a secondary shoulder strap for the open shoulder gives a bit more coverage and stability, if desired.

I Think this is the easiest dress ever I loved the side zipper I used an invisible zipper looked very professional and I was able to do a burrito type to enclose the bodice since the sides are open which was awesome became a beautiful and my granddaughter just loves it wore it all day

My daughter requested a one shoulder strap dress, and I’ve loved the ease, simplicity, but CLASS these patterns have yielded for me in the past. I didn’t want to take on the task without a guide, and this pattern was great. It was the first pattern I’ve used on a garment for my daughter (who is now 9) that included a zipper. Buy a quality zipper. No young girl wants her dress bursting apart because of a poor quality zipper! :) The instructions were great and I learned a new skill, and a lesson in zippers. Happy sewing!

I couldn’t believe how many pages the PDF was. I bought three patterns, and they were about 50 pages each! With photos for every tiny step embedded into the instructions. The PDF was formatted so that I couldn’t just print the text instructions. I emailed and asked for just the text, so I didn’t have to waste a bunch of ink and paper, they said no. They suggested I print in black and white! Not sure how that saves any trees. So, I spent a while re-typing all the instructions without photos. I certainly won’t be buying from this company again. I haven’t even made the dresses yet because I’m still a bit salty about the experience.
