Full of vintage charm, Sutton is a darling top or dress with many sleeve options for all the changing seasons! Sutton features a full button down front. Sutton can be sewn sleeveless, with a "cold shoulder" style bow sleeve, cap sleeve and a slim 3/4 sleeve.
Sutton also includes options for the skirt finishes: simple or pleated. The pleated skirt features two rows of wide pleats that add detail and interest. Sutton can also be made with a simple gathered skirt for a more classic look. Optional waist sash and inseam pockets give even more variety in combinations!

Love the Sutton
I am very happy with the outcome of my Sutton. Directions are mostly easy to follow. The only problem I had was with the sash. I didn’t realize one of the buttons and a buttonhole went right through the sash. It would be helpful if one of the example photos had a sash!

I was impressed with the fit of Sutton. The only thing I did differently was enclose the waist seam which took maybe 10 extra minutes but totally worth the time to make the dress look more professional and feel better against my granddaughter’s skin.

Being a novice in sewing little girl dresses, I found this pattern easy to understand, and was extremely pleased with the result. Next little granddaughter dress will be same concept, but doing up at the back, any thing to avoid having to insert a zipper.

Once again a great pattern, I originally purchased it for the August sew-a-long....but my granddaughters birthday was calling for it. She loved, I loved it, easy to follow instructions. Definitely will be making more with the long sleeves for the fall and winter.
