My 10 year old granddaughter wanted to spend her spring break with me, sewing her Easter dress. She picked out the fabric and we both worked on the dress, using both a sewing machine and a serger. The pattern and instructions were easy to follow and the dress sewed up beautifully. She is so proud of the dress made together.
This was the first time I had sewn one of these patterns. It was very simple and the dress turned out beautifully. My daughter loves it. I actually used it as a guide to make one for myself! The only thing is this was an add on, which I didn’t realize when I purchased it. So you have to buy the initial pattern to get all the instructions. However since it came with all the pattern pieces and o have experience sewing I just figured it out in my own.
The dress is really lovely and fairly easy to make. I just don’t understand why this was an “add on” pattern- it’s different from the clover pattern (which I wasn’t interested in making). It includes all the cuts and measurements necessary to make the dress, but only instructions for how to sew the skirt and attach it to the bodice. I’m not sure why it was formatted this way. It wouldn’t have been difficult for the pattern writers to also include instructions for sewing the bodice. Instead of buying the Clover pattern I had my mom help me and we figured it out. In the end I’m happy with the dress, not really thrilled about how the pattern was written.
This was the absolute perfect choice for Miss 12 to wear to her year 6 graduation night. I will definitely be making more of these, as well as making more pattern designs, too.
Right on point for my tween. Fashionable, cute, and twirly.

Really loved this pattern

Confused by the pattern format
