Gemma is a classic Blouse & Skirt set. The playful circle skirt features optional bubble pockets and an arched waistband. The back elastic allows for an easy fit. The blouse features a peter pan collar and vintage inspired sleeve cuffs.
The Gemma Pattern has detailed instructions so that even novice sewists can complete this project. We also include fun styling options such as how to make a ruffled circle skirt.
We love the Gemma skirt paired with our Jacqueline suspenders. Such an adorable combination! For cooler months, our Talulah long sleeve shirt pairs beautifully with the Gemma skirt.

The instructions regarding attachment of cuff to sleeve are somewhat confusing. They don’t go right sides together if the rest of the instructions are to be followed. That is, unless I have misread them. I have made the blouse twice now and have also adjusted the front bodice from full lining to partial, to save fabric. I am making 5 tops from the same yardage. (5 grandkids). I have made several of your patterns…love the styles….so I do recommend your patterns.
Loved making this blouse with the collar and sleeves using contrast fabric for collar and sleeve bands.
Again, pattern easy to follow and sew.
The instructions as always were easy to follow. I am learning so much from using VFT patterns.
Overall experience good , found the blouse runs small so need to move up to next size
I own many love everyone

Love this pattern!!
This is the 6th pattern I’ve purchased from VFT and I find it to be the easiest one for me personally. My daughter loves it too!

I was nervous to do
I was nervous to do a blouse, but this goes together so easily
Gemma Blouse
I only used the Blouse pattern, but it came together easily, instructions were excellent and blouse looks awesome. I thought it worth a mention that the pattern uses a 9-10 size not a 9 & 10 size. My daughter is 11 and only small so it was fine, but I may have chosen another of your patterns had I known as I won't get to use it again as she grows. But don't hesitate to purchase, you won't be disappointed.
A bit of a hiccup
A bit of a hiccup fitting the collar on, but with the help of the group, I was able to get it figured out.
Gemma Skirt.
Every pattern fits perfectly. She is a tall, thin 7 year old. I make a size 6 and add length.
Lovely design
Excellent value for money, the instructions are very clear and easy to understand.
Very easy, quick and painless.
Very easy, quick and painless. Have, and will continue to recommend you to others.
GEMMA
Made the Gemma for my 3 year old granddaughter and we both loved it -- now I am working on the Autumn for her--each new outfit is her favorite!!!
Cute and versatile
Good sewing experience, I can imagine using both patterns over and over again
Gemma blouse-flutter sleeve
Made the blouse and found the directions confusing for flutter sleeves. This sleeve pattern is a different shape from VF typical flutter and I couldn’t figure out how it was going to work. The pictures were from other patterns and not a similar shape. Finally cut out a flutter sleeve from another pattern as it matched the photo. Maybe if photo could be same blouse and fabric it would help?
