Alice is a beautiful dress or top with a handkerchief hemline. Alice features a bodice that is perfect for summer with its high neckline. The bodice can be made either simple or can feature optional princess seams that are a perfect way to display trims or lace.
Alice girls includes two closures, the straps can be tied into around the neck and a single button closure on the low back. The straps can also be criss-crossed across the back and looped through the elastic back closure.
Alice is beautiful in dress length, but equally adorable made in top length and paired with the Lucy, Fawn or Eloise shorts!

I love Alice
I have already made 2 Alice tops. I was worried about the handkerchief hem line and it was not hard at all. Everything fell into place beautifully. I love the boho vibe of this pattern. I’m looking forward to making several dresses now. I have to say that my granddaughter receives so many compliments on her VFT clothes!

The sweetest summer dress!
My daughter has gotten so many compliments about her Alice dress. I made size 4 and it’s a perfect fit in terms of length and bodice size. The directions were clear and it sewed up in about 3 hours total (And I am not the most experienced sewer in the world). This is the second pattern and third dress that I’ve made from Violette Field Threads and it will not be my last!!

Adorable pattern; great instructions
This pattern is even more simple than I had thought it would be. The instructions are very clear and concise, and I've been able to follow them just fine even though this is only the third dress I've ever made. Will definitely buy patterns from VFT again in future, and I've recommended them to multiple friends.

I loved the ease of the instructions and patter . I did modify the back a little to criss cross the ties and bring them down along the back through loops for added support. My granddaughters tend to rough house a lot and are more on the tomboyish side. The dress turned out beautiful and she loved it.
