Esmee is a classic pajama, with so many options! Esmee is perfect for year round wear and can be made out of woven, flannel and knit fabrics. The woven version features an easy 1/2 placket on the bodice while the knit version is even easier, with no placket required.
Top, shin and ankle lengths are included. Esmee can be created sleeveless or with either short or long sleeves. The sleeved versions have a sweet elastic gather at the hem.

I love these pj's and my daughter does too. She calls them her princess pj's.
I gave the pattern to my mom to make birthday PJs for my daughters. My mom said the pattern was easy enough to follow, just the elastic in the sleeves she thought might be too tight, it called for 3 rows of stitching, but she ended up taking one out, I think it was the right call as the sleeves are still quite snug (yet stretchy enough) at the sleeve gather.
The girls absolutely love their nightgowns! I didn't measure the girls, but went with their ages (5 & 7), short sleeve, shin length. They are a bit long on them, but they have plenty of room to grow with them as well.
At first my mom thought the skirt seemed quite large with too much to gather, but she stuck with the pattern measurements and they came out perfect, the girls favourite part is how amazingly the skirts twirly.
I didn't have enough yardage in the patterned jersey so strips of a complimentary colour had to be added to get the full length of the skirt part.
I will try making them another set in "daytime" fabric so they can have them as dresses as well.

Really loved this pattern!
I loved this pattern so much. I was looking for a pattern that I could incorporate some embroidery into as my granddaughter wanted unicorns. This suited the purpose perfectly. I thought at first that the width of the skirt was too great but trusted the designer(s) and went with it. So glad I did! She loves it! Will make again soon!

Christmas pjs for my little girl

Great pattern. I made the woven sleeveless version for my daughter for Christmas pajamas. It came together easily, looked great, and my 4 year old loved it. I’ll definitely be making her more with different variations!
Love hate relationship lol
I am a new sewer and this was my first solo clothes making adventure I have bought a pattern from you before but I had someone else make it. This pattern is a love hate because some things I got and it was a breeze but then came where you attach the arms and it totally lost me I am also drown to getting your patterns for the simple fact you have video tutorials but you did not have one that I could find for the night gown so I could see how to put them together. I did get them on but not correctly they went on last after I pinned them on while my kids wore them .

This was my first time purchasing a pattern from Violette Fields and also the first time sewing a more intermediate pattern. It was easy to follow and the dress turned out beautfully! Perfect Little Pajamas
I made a few Esmee nightgowns for my daughter, one was a Christmas flannel nightgown, the other two were short sleeve cotton voile/gauze. She loves them all so much and they are her favorite pajamas! The Esmee is a quick make and the instructions are great about getting you through the project quickly while still keeping quality. I loved this pattern!
