The instructions are awesome. But read everything! I did 2 dresses for a 2 and 4 YO. They ended up being 3T and 5T in the chest but short so I actually used the tunic length. The dress part is very easy if you put a small safety pin near the end of each tie on the right side to use for turning out. The ruffle (I did double sided) was a lot of material especially since I shortened the dress. Definitely only gather one section at a time. You could reduce the circle size if you want a softer ruffle.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR DESIGNS AND PATTERNS! THEY ARE EASY TO FOLLOW AND UNDERSTAND.
I LOVE these patterns! Adorable, easy to assemble, and the instructions are literally fool proof - I leant them to my Mum (who doesn't ever make garments) and she said they were the easiest she's ever used. Hands down will absolutely be buying patterns from you in the future!
The pattern instructions were clear and the pattern was true to size. This sewed up quickly sew quickly.
Easy to follow and love the result!

Easy dress with great instructions

Hope Tunic is a breeze to make
The pattern instructions were clear and the pattern was true to size. This sewed up quickly sew quickly.
Simple pattern
So easy to make. On some I just cut facings for dress to cut down on fabric instead of reversible.
Easy simple and beautiful
Thank you for creating this beautiful pattern with thorough instructions. I made some gorgeous Christmas dresses for my toddler girls and got so many compliments. I can’t wait to make more dresses with this pattern for the spring and summer.
Love this sight
These patterns are the best because all the sizes can be made! That is so important to me. The photos make it easy for a first time clothes maker (long time quilter) to make the garments. There are a few areas first time sewers could use a little more information. Example: how much to overlap elastic and the best way to attach the ends. lol I just finished the free skirt pattern and I think it's adorable. The grandgirls try them on this weekend!
Hope dress is super cute and super easy!
Loving your Hope dress pattern! I have 4 grandchildren that will be getting one of their own. Love the weight of using two fabrics together. I just made the simple open dress and it’s perfect!
Turned out great
Really pleased with the pattern, easy to follow and turned out really cute. I had trouble getting the 1” square to print correctly but that may have been my printing system, I used Adobe as suggested. In the end as the pattern pieces all matched up I just went with it.
Simple and sweet!
Hope is such a great bang for your buck as far as patterns go. Dress or tunic, reversible, and easy to dress up or down. And it’s also a quick sew. I know I’ll be making many of these through the years!
Hope dress
I love it! My granddaughter loves to twirl around and Hope is the perfect dress for her. I made it of Fourth of July print and she loved it.
Hope for grand daughters
Wonderful pattern, hacked a bit to use a gathering foot. Wow what a great foot. No more zigging over floss !
Awesome pattern
I love Violette Field Threads’ patterns! The Hope Tunic is adorable, so I made a couple for two of my youngest granddaughters, and plan to make a third with my first, 8 year old, granddaughter. (Wish I could upload a photo)
Love Love Love
Absolutely love this pattern and was able to teach my daughter how to sew clothes using this pattern as well. Thank you for a simple pattern that can be altered to dress or top, ruffle or no ruffle. Love it!
I love the hope
The pattern was very easy to follow and I love love love the dress it turned out so beautiful
Hope dress
I loved the way there’s sewed out. I made it reverseable and put pockets on one side. Soooo cute.
Luna
It took me awhile to figure out the sleeve out but I did it & made another one. It’s a very sweet & comfy dress.
Love this pattern
Great. The dress is not difficult to make and there are numerous ways of doing it. My granddaughter loves it!
Beautiful and simple
This dress looks so simple when completed, but was a bit tricky getting the 2 layers to line up the way I wanted. Still, I do love the finished product. Seems to run a bit large.
