very cute little dress
Great pattern
The instructions tell you how to lengthen the front/back bodice piece (using the armhole template piece as the new bodice). They also have you attach the uncut, gathered skirt to the bodice and then use the armhole template to cut out the bottom of the armscye. This technique makes it easier to match up these pieces. This is the first time I've seen either of these techniques used. I will also mention that this dress has a LOT of gathering and, depending on the type of fabric you are using, you might opt to decrease the design ease and cut a narrower skirt piece that is less gathered.
I love this pattern. The dress was very easy to make.

Fun dress
I really liked being able to have the measurements to cut out the skirt size just using a ruler and rotary cutter and not having to print out anything but the top templates. Thanks for a great free pattern.
London Dress
Fun and quick pattern. My baby always gets wonderful compliments when wearing this dress. I’ve made 2 and will be making more for the spring and summer.
Great for beginners
Thank you for sharing this pattern. Im a beginner sewist. I made this dress for my eldest daughter 3 years ago. I followed the tutorial on youtube. Im gonna make another for her baby sister.

So easy!
Super easy pattern to follow. I’m a beginner and finished feeling so confident with myself
London Dress - bodice/armhole needs better instructions
The bodice/armhole instructions are a little unclear. I think the instructions would be easier to follow with more in print. I still cut mine a little to big for the size.
London Dress

Darling summer dress
Easy to cut the pattern and save for more dresses as the granddaughter grows. Love the straps so it is adjustable. Great suggestions for the beginner sewist such as best way to gather.
Love this little dress and the video tutorial
I have been trying to sew for so long with very little success. I took advantage of the free pattern to see if I could follow it.. some parts I was able to follow but I stumbled on some parts. This was remedied when I found the video tutorial which enabled me to complete the dress. I then decided to try the free Lola pattern but unfortunately I haven’t been able to finish the top because I haven’t been able to follow the pattern .. I suppose I’m just one of those people who learn visually.
London dress for my Ziva
I love this pattern. It was easy to follow directions and turned out really adorable.
Simply Beautiful
This pattern was my first to use as a beginner. The tutorial was very helpful and I have already bought two more patterns!!
London Pattern & Tutorial
I was really excited as I progressed thru the tutorial and sewing the dresses. I haven't sewn clothes for a very long time and this was the best way ever to get patterns and make the dresses. I currently have three great granddaughters and found this to be very enjoyable.
Excellent pattern
It was a lovely pattern - very easy to follow great instructions once I realised where the actual pattern pieces were … at the bottom of the tutorial page! Very pleased with the result. Will definitely check out the site for more patterns.
Fabulous
I'm not a great sewer and this pattern is very forgiving. It looked great on my granddaughters.
Great Beginner-friendly pattern
I had a very positive sewing experience using this particular pdf pattern. It was easy, required few pattern pieces and came together quickly with stellar results. I've made 12 London dresses to donate to charity, using different quilting cotton fabrics in my stash, and they all have the look of professional, store-bought dresses.
