Great tween pattern!

My daughter is a big 8 year old and it is so hard to find patterns that I can make fit without a ton of alterations. This is a great pattern for bodies that are too big for child sizes but not ready for women's. I prefer to sew sleeves on flat, so since it is a knit pattern I did them that way and then joined down the sides. The alterations needed were minimal, within what I would consider a "normal range" We did a slight full tummy adjustment and shortened the sleeves but did not need major adjustments. This made her Christmas PJ wishes come true!

This was a very good experience. I sewed the sleeveless version for each of my daughters. It would have been nice to have the portion of the arm hole that should be removed for the sleeveless version marked on the pattern piece.
