Catherine is a timeless design with so many options! The Catherine bodice features a classic boatneck and button up back. The bodice includes both a straight and slightly arched bottom edge. The arched bodice creates a gentle hi-low skirt.
Two sleeves are included: long and 3/4 lengths. Both sleeves can be finished with either a plain and simple sleeve cuff or split sleeve that features a bow tie cuff.
Two skirts are included, full gathered and a lovely circle skirt.

Gorgeous
This dress is so beautiful, but comes up on the small size. I made the 6 to 12 month size for a 6 month old, and it was too small. I ended up making the largest size to get a good fit. I highly recommend checking the chest measurement of the child and making a test bodice for fit. Other than that it's gorgeous. Pink dress is 6-12 months and polka-dot 18-24 months.

Easy to sew
I have loved your two patterns I have made. The only issue I have had is that both run a little small. Disclaimer- my daughter sent me the measurements, I have taught her how to do measurements; however, her measurements could have been wrong, and babies do grow quickly. I thought I had accounted for growth and made it large enough for my granddaughter to get at least six months of wear out of the dress. It fit her perfectly, almost too perfectly. I do love how the instruction tells you to add the inches for correct sizing, and I will start adding a little more to make sure there is room for growth. I can't wait to make more of your patterns.

Easy Sew
This pattern was super easy to follow! I’m a beginner and self taught, I was worried a placket and gathers and “fancy” dresses would be overwhelming but this pattern made it so easy to handmade my daughters first birthday dress!
Adorable little dress!
The instructions were great to follow. The only part that confused me was the placket explanation but it was mostly because the picture didn’t seem to match it. The end product was so adorable and my cousin loved it for her daughter!

Although I haven’t yet sewn this dress (baby due November) I am convinced that it will be as fabulous as all the other VTF patterns I have!!
Poor instruction and pattern.
I was very disappointed in the short cuts you took in making the pattern. No nitches, no dots no aids to line up sides or gathers. Made making the pattern twice as long in time. I also bought the video. The camera focused on the ladies not the work. Go look at any You Tube video that is free! Learn how they focus the camera on the work not on the workers. Will never buy again.

Love this little dress pattern!
I altered this pattern slightly. I made a striped dress with the stripes running vertically. Then divided the bodice pattern so that half were stripes running horizontally. It turned out so cute.
Catherine is perfect for that first year and beyond!
