Made for my granddaughters in NY

Everything was fine except that the fabric requirements for the top length simple skirt are incorrect. For a size 7, it calls for 3/8 yard but the pattern requires two lengths placed on the fold - that’s 24 inches. Size 3 calls for 3/8 but actually needs 18”. I had to return to the fabric shop - fortunately they still had the bolt.
By the way, I made the top for the 18” American Doll and also made one for the Wellie Wishers 14” doll by printing the pattern at 70%. It worked OK although the smaller dolls have a small waist proportionally.

I haven’t had time to use this pattern yet but I’ve made 3 pairs of Remi shorts and they fit nicely. I also made 2 of the Catherine dresses and my 2 youngest GRANDdaughters loved them. My 15 year old GRANDdaughter was where last week and chose 4 or 5 VFT patterns she would like me to make. Thank you for your patterns.

Needed to be tested more extensively before sold

I bought the pattern for the SAL May 2020. The pattern was released just shortly before it started and being a seasoned seamstress, I was surprised at how many things went wrong. The pattern didn’t line up in places, the back seemed unfinished and a pattern piece didn’t even come close to fitting and I still haven’t gotten an update in my email box. It ended up looking cute, but I’m not sure I’ll make it again.

Digital patterns

Very, very difficult to figure out how to use. Required 40 sheets of paper to print. Still don’t know how to tape it together. And even if I did tape it, it would still take too long to decipher the instructions. Sigh...
