Kensley is a beautiful knit dress with scoop back neckline. The neckline is super chic, while not being too low for everyday wear. The skirt is a gorgeous, full gathered circle skirt that has an amazing amount of twirl!
Kensley is perfect for year round wear as it can be sewn as a sleeveless dress or with short or long sleeves. The long sleeve also has an optional wrist ruffle for added detail.

The pattern was very easy to follow and though I doubted myself sewing with knit fabric-after having used only woven for over 55 years!-I got the correct foot for my machine and gave it a try. My granddaughter loves her dress and wore it for the first day of school.
This dress was easy to make and turned out to be a perfect Easter dress for my granddaughter! I highly recommend!
I,m just going to begin one of many of your beautiful patterns today. "Juniper" then Kensley is next. Excited . Took me all week to trace and set-up my serger (learn it all over again to sew on /stretch) I,m moving forward and can't wait to see the end result for my grand-daughter. I'll send you a picture. She very excited and told me exactly what she wants. Ruffles, rose pattern with Easter eggs, twirlling skirt , matching outfit for her doll River .... No wonder I buy your patterns! Where else could you buy this request LOL
I found making the Kensley Dress easy to follow. Was very happy with the final product and the dress is adorable. My friend's daughter wore it for her first day of Kindergarten. I have had difficulties finding good patterns for 'knits' and the Kensley pattern was excellent. Will purchase more patterns.
I thought printing and cutting the pattern went well. I love the style of the dress. This was my first time using a serger and sewing on knit. The knit I used had Lycra in it so that was challenging too. I didn’t use the clear elastic on the bodice— big mistake. I had to remake it and it was much better. I will be making more of these for my 5 granddaughters.

Kensley review
Quite good. Perhaps a more versatile elastic option in the bodice/skirt attachment. Clear elastic is a specialty item that I can’t buy at local store. But otherwise very happy with pattern and ultimate dress outcome!
A beautiful pattern
This pattern and the directions were very easy to use. I had purchased some stretch velvet to make my granddaughter's Christmas dress and was concerned about using the pattern. However, with my stretch stitch it turned out beautifully. She was beyond thrilled with the way the skirt twirls! I will be making this again for a Spring time dress.
One Dislike
I had a great result, but I really don't like the scooped back. I prefer a more modest look. I will definitely change the back neck line next time I make something.
So much twirl!
Kensley was such an easy and quick sew! And so much twirl! I had to make Evies to go underneath!
the perfect dress
Perfect knit sew!
Loved sewing up Kensley in soft knit ...or...panne velour!! My new fave pattern for the fall and winter!

Beautiful Dress
This pattern is very easy to sew! The end result is a beautiful spin worthy dress that is both comfortable and beautiful. I will be making many more. I was so excited to give this to my Granddaughter that I forgot to take a picture of the dress! Hopefully a can add a picture to this review later. I am hoping to size down the pattern slightly to fit my 18 month old Granddaughter. Matching Christmas dresses?
Cute dress that comes together easily
My daughter loves how twirly the skirt is! Only thing is that I was surprised how much I had to size up -- my daughter is 6 yrs old, 50" and 50llbs and I had to use the size 8 and go all the way to the 9/10 marking for skirt length.
okie
I purchased this pattern for the full circle skirt for the twirlability. Made two, for sisters, turned out great. first one took more time as usual while learning pattern, second done is 1/2 a day.
Kensley Dress
I love how the Kensley looks on my granddaughter! She is fairly tall and thin for a 12 year old so I combined a size 12 with a 16 length, and it went together well. I was also using fabric from my stash and didn’t have enough to cut out 3 skirt sections so I just cut out 2. It turned out great and there was enough fullness.
Another great Dress!
I love this pattern for sewing clothes for my grand daughters that the like and love wearing to school.
