I love the pattern. Ive only printed and cut so far, but I love how easy all your patterns are to follow. But I would love it if the different sizes were in different colors rather than all black. I could print layers, but when trying to blend sizes its difficult to see which line is which. Colored sizes would be a huge help!
Nice clear instructions- 14 year old able to sew herself a dress to wear for Christmas while I was at work. Just a check in every few hours for a question was all she needed, following along the pattern for the rest. Thanks so much!!
The dress is coming together we'll. Almost finished my first attempt
I love all the VFT Patterns, they're my favourite! This dress was suuuuper comfortable, I am a beginner sewer, so to me, there were a few trickier bits, but the but the instructions were so clear and easy to follow that I had no issue. I usually wear the same size in the other VFT patterns but perhaps would size myself down one next time as it is quite roomy.
Such a comfy dress!!
Beautiful dress. I am a beginner sewer and found this to be above my skill level. I struggled with the instructions on the waistband and skirt but I assume it is because I’m no advanced. Beautiful pattern

A little boxy
I usually sew for my kids, so there were a few things I had to learn when making this dress. I am not a beginner, but had never done darts before. The instructions were a little difficult to follow, so I found a YouTube video to help me. Since I don't really sew for myself, and this was my first VFT pattern, I didn't know how the sizing was. I followed the instructions against my better judgment and ended up making a size 14. I'm usually a 12, but was worried it wouldn't fit right, since I measured into a 14. I wish I would have gone with the 12 or even a 10, because it was huge and made me look like a box. The neckline was super low and almost a boatneck, but maybe that's because I should have made a smaller size. I'm still working on altering it down to fit, but have to basically rip apart the entire bodice. If I had extra fabric, I'd just trash the bodice and start over. I'm hoping I can get the fit right, because it seems like a really cute dress!
Great Pattern!

This pattern is very well written, even for a beginner! The added blog post to make this into a maxi style dress just made it even better! Thank you!
