My daughter’s favorite dress

I have already sewn this Elianna dress 5 times for my daughter in child size and I am delighted that it also exists in teen size because it is really her favorite dress!
I look forward to sewing other Elianna dresses because the pattern is perfect, the explanations very clear and the result always magnificent!

ELIANA DRESS

Proper layouts would be nice to have. Pattern calls for 13.5 yards of fabric. I made it with 9 yards, easily. Flounce lines are very difficult to follow because they are all solid lines. Dress is lovely.

Beautiful Dress/Wasteful Fabric Recommendation

Overall making this dress for my granddaughter was a positive experience. It turned out beautifully and she loves it. The instructions were good and easy to follow. The reason I marked my review for 3 stars was the fabric recommendation. It was over the top. The dress does use a lot of fabric but I made it using about half of what was specified. From what I saw, it was because the layout showed each piece placed on a separate piece of fabric. Huge savings can be achieved by fitting the pieces around each other like a puzzle. I would also recommend accurate fabric recommendations be shown for each pattern before you download it. It could affect whether you want to attempt a project. With such lovely styles, I would definitely buy from you again but I would double check the pattern layout before I purchase my fabric.

Lots of fabric

Making two Easter dresses for tween sisters.
Overall, this is working out but it needs about 6.5 yards of fabric, which isn’t well expressed with the directions (and got expensive). On the other, the sewing directions are very detailed and easy to follow. Flounce linings need to be same main fabric not another fabric.

Violette Field Threads Elianna Tween Dress Review

Elianna Tween Yes!

I had to sew a dress for a little girl who has a bit of a tum but isn't developed. Finding a dress style suitable for a wedding while accommodating a size 14 girl was so difficult until I was recommended this dress style. IT IS PERFECT on her and she absolutely loves it. Highly recommend - I want an adult version now!

Girls are in love with this! Little princesses!

I made this for my niece (age 11.5) in the largest size and for my daughter (age 8) in the smallest tween size. The one for my niece had the flounce on the skirt only. Absolutely adorable. The one for my daughter had the flounce on the blouse and on the skirt. Also perfect. The look from the front is "runway perfect" and from the back it looks like a floor length gown. The sizing seems accurate. Next time I might make the one for my daughter a size up because the wrap dress is forgiving, and it might allow her to get two seasons of use for it. This does use a LOT of fabric. The directions are not easy to figure for fabric, so I had to overbuy for both of the dresses by several yards. In fact, for both dresses, I had to do the flounce in a coordinating fabric because the measurements were saying I needed around 8 yards of fabric for each. The entire bolt has only 6 yards. Luckily, they are cute fabrics, so I'm sure I'll use again for pajamas or something similar next sprint/summer.
