Novice sewer

Would have appreciated notches to distinguish front and back pieces. Waist was higher cut on back pieces so was able to distinguish, but as a newer sewer would have appreciated the notches. Otherwise no issues. Made 5 matching long pants with ruffled bottom as pajama bottoms for granddaughters, age 2-10. All sizes fit great, went by measurements. Pattern easy to adjust for length. Granddaughters loved them! Would purchase from Violette Field Threads again.

Charlotte Bloomers

I love the pattern however I had to modify the length of the leg and use a smaller size elastic because the seams were meeting at the crotch seam

Be careful of the crotch

Purchased this pattern and made several of the bloomers and a pair of the shorts. Made a size 2. The crotch in the bloomers wasn't wide enough to fold it up as stated in the tutorial to leave much of a crotch at all (at least not the amount as shown in the pics). The same thing with the shorts. In the size 2, the final crotch size was about 1.25" with the ruffles then on each side. Also, there wasn't enough fabric in the rise to fold it down as much as the tutorial stated. If I did, then the pants were too short in the rise and my niece is on the short side. Other than having to add an inch or so to the length of everything, these were easy to sew.

Cute bottoms

I have not yet made these because I bought several patterns that day, but I knew I wanted to make them as summer shorts.
