Catherine is a timeless design with so many options! The Catherine bodice features a classic boatneck and button up back. The bodice includes both a straight and slightly arched bottom edge. The arched bodice creates a gentle hi-low skirt.
Two sleeves are included: long and 3/4 lengths. Both sleeves can be finished with either a plain and simple sleeve cuff or split sleeve that features a bow tie cuff. For warmer weather, Catherine is perfect to use with our Sleeve Basics Add-on, and looks adorable with the cap and flutter sleeves.
Two skirts are included, full gathered and a lovely circle skirt.

Such a pretty dress
Problem with skirt pattern
I have not stitched this dress yet as I cannot seem to match up the lines for the circle skirt pattern - at markers 6G 6F GI the cutting lines do not line up. I will be making a sz. 8 and will have to adjust my cutting line to where I think it should be - the pattern has a broken line! I have photos if you reply to this review & I can show you.

This is now my 3rd purchase from VFT (and actually VFT is the only website I purchase patterns from). Runs small
Love the dress, really cute, but at least the size 4 runs small. I sized up from the size 3 to give growing room, and checked measurements, but the dress is nearly too small for my granddaughter. I reset the buttons to give a little more ease, and she will be able to wear it for a few months at most.

I love this pattern. I will definitely use it again and again .I was looking for a pattern that could be made in size 7 out of 2yards of Viyella that I had stashed years ago. I reduced the fullness of the skirt which was very appropriate, given that the fabric has a fair bit of body, I also made the cuffs on the sleeves open like a shirt. My grand daughter was absolutely delighted. A simple yet elegant dress for a special occasion.
