It was fairly easier to sew than it looked like, and I’m not an experienced sewer - I had never made such a gathered dress before!
The vintage length is indeed sweet, the pinafore looks simply adorable when worn!!
The only downfall is that the ties in the back, the same ones that make this pinafore unique and so darling, are really not ideal when trying to put it on an energetic toddler… probably not great for a small baby either.
The instructions were overall very comprehensive, except for the Fabric Requirements chart, which I found rather useless unless I’m using different fabrics for every piece. I mean, if you’ll be making the pinafore with just one fabric, as I did, you’ll only need around 1 metre of fabric for the 12/ 18 months size, not all the yardage indicated on the chart.
Anyway, I’m very happy with my outfit. Now to try and wear it more often, not just on special days =D
