August is already here. That means summer is coming to an end and school is right around the corner. And what better way to celebrate the end of summer than with a Back-to-school Sew-a-Long! Pepper won the August vote by a landslide, and quite honestly, it is the quintessential BTS dress! Pepper is one of my most favorite dress patterns. I adore the peter pan collar and classic silhouette. And best of all, Pepper comes in a HUGE size range, from baby through tween!! That means for this SAL, we've got everyone covered!
Day 1 always means it's time to pick up your copy of the pattern if you haven't already done so! Check out the Sew-a-Long section on the website to pick up your copy today! Once you have your copy of the pattern, sit down and do a read through. I like to always do this before I start a project so I feel prepared for what I'm going to be doing!
We've got our pattern, now it's time to PLAN! And for me, that means heading to the store to SHOP! My daughter starts Kindergarten this year, and I knew I needed some special fabric for her back-to-school wardrobe! I happened to find this AMAZING fabric and it was exactly what I had in mind! It screamed Pepper!!!
I'm not sure what I love more about this fabric, but I do know one thing. I WILL be fussy cutting the bodice to showcase a small section! I still am not sure which section I want on the front, but I'm sure my little lady will have a suggestion!
