You've been begging, for some time now, for extended sizes on some of our most beloved patterns.  Matilda and Rosemary are adorable patterns that many of have adored since the release last year.  We are ecstatic to announce that both patterns will now be available for even your littlest loves!  And bonus, they are now better than ever!

Please welcome Baby Matilda and Rosemary to our VFT pattern family.  Ranging in sizes 0-3 months to 18-24 months, both patterns will quickly become favorites for you and you baby girls!

Matilda is the perfect traditional peasant dress featuring several different sleeve options that make this pattern a wonderful option for growing babies.   Since it's release last year, Matilda has undergone a few changes.  The construction order of the sleeve has been updated for a more polished look.  

With three sleeve options we have all the seasons covered.  Flutter, short cap, and 3/4 length sleeves are all included.  We have also made a slight revision to these pattern pieces, so no trimming of peaks at the shoulder and sleeve seams are needed!

We are sure there is something for every occasion.  It's the perfect dress for an outing to the playground, a trip to the pumpkin patch, or some much needed tummy time!

Matilda is such a quick sew, you will want to make an entire closet full of these!  From cut to last stitch, this pattern sews up in about an hour!  Perfect for those who love quick easy patterns!

If this is your first time sewing or you've been doing it for years, this pattern is perfect for all sewing levels!

Rosemary is a gorgeous vintage style pinafore, ranging in sizes 0-3months to 18-24 months.  The details make this pattern an absolute winner.

The pin-tucked bodice is oh so sweet.  It gives the perfect opportunity to add in any sort of embellishment.  Lace looks lovely paired with the pleats.  Add in buttons and you have a winning look! 

The fold over collar is the epitome of vintage style.  We can't get enough of how cute this look is on our littlest fans.  We are excited to share that while we loved the original version, we have updated shoulder panels so they now hit at the same spot across all sizes!  The bodices have also undergone a slight changes to accommodate the new collar.  But don't worry, Rosemary still boasts the same vintage look you've grown to love!

Rosemary's side ties make this pattern adjustable!  This is perfect for growing littles who seem to get too big too fast!  This pattern will grow with them!

Rosemary also features a gorgeous horizontal pleated skirt.  It is available in 2 different lengths too!  If you are looking for a vintage vibe, go with the shorter vintage look.  If you'd like a traditional look, then go with the long length.  Both lengths are lovely and you can't go wrong with either of them!

We are at the end of our introduction into the 2016 Boho Collection.  This labor of love is something we are so proud of.  We hope you are just as excited for this fabulous collaboration!  The fantastic Bari J. worked with us to create this wonderful collection that you all can get your hands on tomorrow!!

We have 2 patterns left to talk about, so let's get started with the last of our new patterns, Giselle.

Giselle ranges in sizes 2-10 and is the epitome of the perfect layering piece.  This flowy kimono is a garment you need this fall.

Kimonos are all the rage for fall and winter.  For those who get sick of cardigans and other common layering pieces, Giselle is a breath of fresh air!  We love the ruffle hem option for a super fun look.

With such a whimsical and bohemian look, Giselle speaks to girls of all ages.  We know all the ladies in your lives are going to fall in love with this garment, that we decided to expand our sizing!

The tweens in your life are going to adore the Giselle.  The relaxed and roomy fit is of so comfy but still so cute, and perfect for school!

All the older girls are going to be begging you to make this!  It is a statement piece that everyone, young and old, need in their wardrobes!

And since we are adding sizes, how about a Misses Giselle?!?!  We know you ladies love a good statement piece, and we suspect this will quickly become your go to favorite!  Pair it on with skinny jeans and a simple white tee, or how about shorts and a tank.  Throw on a cute sandal and some necklaces and you've got a winning look.

The Giselle Kimono is going to be a {mom favorite} since it is comfortable and figure flattering.  It's not a fitted garment, so it's roominess leaves your feeling really comfortable while looking extremely put together!  We are loving all the kimono inspiration over on Pinterest, and these are great ideas for styling too!

Giselle is a great chance to use that fantastic fringe or lace you've been hoarding.  Add it to the hem and sleeves for a lovely boho look that will definitely turn heads!

We love Giselle and have the ultimate pant to pair with it!  We revamped our Sloane pattern for you and are so pleased to re-release it with many ore options that will make these pants the only ones you will need!

Our original Sloane Skinnies featured a full length pant with a tuxedo stripe.  We still love this option, but know that a good pattern needs options.

Our new Sloane, in sizes 2-10, now includes capri length!  This is the perfect length to go from fall into winter, while the weather is still warm, even up here in the north!!

The Sloane, in capri length, is perfect for showing off your amazing strappy sandals!  We are really loving Sloane without the tuxedo stripe for a more casual everyday look.  Sloane is now your perfect everyday pant.  

Sloane in denim is going to become your daughter's favorite pair of pants, and she will beg you for more!

If a fabric collection could describe this Boho Collection, it would be Joie de Vivre.  The colors, the whimsy, the fun geometrics and gorgeous floral patterns.  We have just fallen in loe with these fabrics and think it is the perfect fit for our Boho line!

We've been giving you an in depth look into our newest collection, The Boho Collection.  This much anticipated collection is an amazing collaboration with the one and only Bari J.  We just adore everything she does and could not be more excited to be working with her. 

So far we've taken a look at 2 of our newest patterns, both designed by Bari J. herself.  This next pattern is the baby of the VFT ladies and is something we know you are going to love!  Let's take a look at the lovely Julianna.

Julianna is a knit pattern featuring tons of length options, coming in sizes 2-10.  This pattern is comfy, cute and is going to become a staple in your pattern repertoire.

This pattern is perfect to get your creative juices flowing.  Perfect for adding embellishments to the bodice or adding a little lace at the hem.

If your little lady loves to twirl, then this pattern is going to be a must have.  Featuring a full circle skirt, Julianna has major twirl factor.  The girly wearing this dress is going to be enviable of all her friends!

We love Julianna as a dress, but think it is equally adorable as a tunic.  The circle skirt still gives great movement and twirl for a super fun look.  Pair this with your favorite pants for a look you can't go wrong with.

Julianna even includes a top option.  This look is a perfect fall and winter staple.  It is an awesome layering piece and the older girls are really loving it!

This pattern is a great transition piece for fall and winter.  With 3/4 and full length sleeves, it is perfect for the months when the weather starts to cool down.  Julianna's sleeves are also super comfortable, and can feature a gathering above the elbow for a unique look and a great fit!

 While designing this pattern, we knew the Joie de Vivre fabrics were going to look fabulous!  These fabrics are the perfect compliment of bohemian whimsy for Julianna!  We adore these fabrics so much we'd like to share them with you, so how about another giveaway!

We are back bright and early to give another Boho Collection pattern some much deserved love.  Today, let's take a closer look at another versatile pattern that seamlessly takes you from the playground to picture day!  Without further ado, let's meet Odette!

We have been screaming from the rooftops about our fabulous collaboration with Bari. J, and we are beyond excited to share with you that this gorgeous pattern is one of the designs from Bari J. herself!!  How exciting is that?!?!  Makes it even more amazing, doesn't it?!?!

Odette ranges from sizes 2-10 and is perfect for all ages, from preschool through elementary school!  This lovely carefree pattern is going to quickly become a favorite in your {free spirit's} wardrobe!

 Like Luna, Odette is another pattern that gives both dress and top options.  As a dress, Odette is the perfect vintage style with modern flair.  It's a great option for everyday wear, but can also be fancied up for special occasions.

For those who like tops, Odette makes an adorable one.  Pair it with skinnies, leggings, or even shorts, Odette looks good with everything!  We are loving it paired with the revamped Sloane Skinnies!  Such an awesome look!

Odette is a pattern that is full of style.  The butterfly sleeve is absolutely to.die.for!  Such a unique detail, we love the way the sleeve flows and moves along with the wearer!   So feminine and drapes beautifully!

The butterfly sleeve is the perfect opportunity to show off some amazing trims and fabrics!  Add in mini pom-poms or lace for a super fun look.  And we love how the sleeve extends all the way to the hem of the top!  It's a great chance to show off a coordinating fabric!  So lovely!  

The a-line skirt is fashionable and functional.  The bodice allows for it to be the perfect canvas for your creativity.  Add in embroidery, monograms, or other embellishments to make your garment pop!  Even show off a favorite fabric detail!

The keyhole back is such a sweet look.  What an elegant look!  And we love all the different trims that can be used as ties!  Lace, ric-rac, pom-poms, bias tape, ribbon.  The list can go on and on!  Get crazy here and let your imagination take over!

 Odette even has an option for a slimmer look.  Add in the faux front and back waistbands with side ties that can cinch in the top or dress for a more fitted look.

We love Odette, but love it even more in these gorgeous Joie de Vivre fabrics!  Such a bold and vibrant look, these fabrics pair beautifully with this lovely pattern!

Today marks day 4 in our introduction into the Boho Collection.  We've given you sneak peeks into the photo shoot, exclusive giveaways from Bari J. herself, and some amazing chances to {win it before you can buy it}!  It's been an exciting week over at VFT!

While we've shown you all the patterns, it's finally time to dive in and get to the nitty gritty of each pattern.  Let's get ready to fall in love a little bit more with {Luna}.

Our Luna dress and top is one that is sure to please little ladies big and small.  Ranging in sizes 2-10, Luna features a dolman style which is all the rage this fall.  And because the sleeve and bodice are one piece, the cut to finish time is super quick!  You will have this gorgeousness sewn up in just over an hour!

Luna boasts a flattering squared neckline and dolman style sleeves.  The short sleeves are a perfect fit and very comfortable for all sizes.

Whether you are looking for a dress or a top, Luna has got you covered.  The vintage length dress screams boho and is just darling.  It's so fun and fashionable, girls of all ages adore it!

If you love VFT then you know we have a special place in our hearts for a good pocket, and Luna does not disappoint in this department.  The exposed Luna pockets are adorable.  We love the uniqueness of them, and while they are super cute, they also serve a great purpose!

Happy Friday friends!  August is fast approaching and summer is in full swing.  It's been hot hot hot, almost too hot for anything other than a bathing suit.  These super hot days make it hard to find something that won't make my daughter cringe and complain when I put it on her.  If you are in the same boat, we have the perfect solution for you today!

The response we received from the Lauren dress has been overwhelming!  We couldn't be happier with how much you all love Lauren!  We love her too!  She has quickly become a VFT favorite and we adore seeing all the different variations over in our FB group.

And while Lauren is a fantastic pattern we are so proud of, we knew something was missing.  Lauren is the perfect dress, but we knew it could be and even better top!

So today we are sharing with you the free Lauren {Top}!!  This is the perfect top for those scorching days and long summer nights!   Pair with your favorite VFT bottoms like the Lilly Shorts or the Eloise Shorts and you have an outfit fit for a princess!

The Lauren top looks great for a day out at the carnival or on a nature walk!  You can't go wrong with this pattern!

I am the type of person that has always been surrounded by music.  Growing up with a music obsessed Father, my childhood memories are entangled with the sights and sounds of music.  Album covers, concerts, living room dance parties, family bbq's, and my Dad's dj'ing events.  Every single memory has a song to go with it that pulls at my heart, bringing me back to those exact moments in time.

When I laid my eyes on Heart Melodies from Art Gallery Fabrics it was instant love.  The colors and prints spoke to me, bringing me back to my childhood memories and everything I love about music.  

Art Gallery describes this line as, "Harmonious notes at a backyard dance party.  Heart Melodies narrates a story of innocent and up-beat lyrics composed by instruments with tone of potent purple and melodic beige.  An alternative fusion for the indie romantics which also mixes shocking pink, and soft blues."  

This collection is the perfect pairing.  Fabric and music both tell stories, evoke emotions, and speak to a person's soul.  I knew I had to get my hands on this collection.  Like all Art Gallery fabrics, the Heart Melodies collection is so amazing to work with.  Soft, washes beautifully, and vibrant, the fabrics are a dream to work with.   I am never disappointed when sewing with these!

 Picking fabric was a little harder, since I loved it all.  Each once spoke to me, but a few definitely sang a little louder.  I decided on 2 prints and 2 solids: Carbon, Heart Fields Always, Cabernet, and Sandstone.  These fabrics sang a song of fun and romance with a bit of lightheartedness and a slight vintage feel.  Perfect for what I wanted to make!

I decided my daughter needed a few things to get her through Spring and Summer and transition easily into Fall.  I knew Lainey would be the perfect top to meet these needs!  Plus, it has an amazing vintage feel that I adore and knew fit the fabrics beautifully!

Heart Fields Always is picture perfect and really shines as a Lainey!  The bodice made for the perfect showcase of this lovely fabric, showing off the gorgeous flower filled hearts.  

I love the mix of whimsy and romance, and the colors are gorgeous.  It makes for the perfect spring/summer top!  And I know we can easily add a long sleeve top underneath for cooler weather! 

Pair Lainey with some adorable Ruffle Bloomers from Clara and you have the ultimate summer look!  It plays even more on the vintage vibe and suits this fabric so well!

I knew I wanted more than just bloomers for this top, since I like options, and ruffle pants seemed like the ideal choice!  Lucy Pants rounds out this entire look, bringing this vintage outfit full circle.

I chose to make the Lucy Pants in the Cabernet solid.  I am so glad I went with my gut and made these in this color.  I was scared it would look too "fallish", but I adore the contrast between the top and the bottoms, and the dark color really brings out all the bring colors in the top!

After making the top, I had a little bit of Heart Fields Always left, and decided that it would make the most beautiful Grace Dress bodice!  I chose Sandstone for the skirt portion of the dress.  These 2 pair beautifully together.  

I love the simplicity of the solid skirt fabric.  So gorgeous and gives the "linen" look I was going for!  I added some lace detail at the bottom.  I was so excited to find it in my stash, and it was the perfect match to the skirt fabric!

A simple ribbon tie at the shoulders makes this dress perfect for summer.  It's such an easy look, but can be worn for any occasion.  It has become one of my little lady's favorite dresses!

I still needed to find the ultimate pattern for my Carbon fabric.  I brainstormed a while before I realized I had another Art Gallery print, Flowered Engrams Ornate, that I had been hoarding for some time now, and would be a lovely match.  The pattern came easily once I put the fabrics together!

The Sommer Romper, the quintessential summer pattern, was an easy choice.  It's the perfect pattern to showcase both amazing fabrics .  I used the floral on the top and ties think it really shows off the bright beautiful colors.  

I really love the juxtaposition between the two fabrics.  The floral helps show off the modernness of Carbon, without it looking too hard.  It keeps it feminine!  

I have an unhealthy attraction to anything in the Grey color family, so Carbon was love at first sight.  The linear fabric has a modern feel without feeling stark and cold.  I love how it brings out the charcoal in the floral.
